Neuroendocrine tumors of the respiratory system

Neuroendocrine tumors of the respiratory system have characteristics that are somewhat similar to other neuroendocrine tumors. They, too, can secrete hormones that cause various syndromes, such as carcinoid syndrome.

 

Lung tumors are graded differently, and their treatment is different compared to gastrointestinal tumors.
